This tried and tested method will do amazing things for your goals! I tried it for myself and I tell you what, I have never been happier with myself. The results are spectacular and I want you to try it too. Many successful people have used this method and are singing praises to it, so what will stop you from trying it for yourself? You basically have got nothing to lose but everything else to gain, your family will thank you for it.

Once again it is another week of working on your goals with me for the year 2017 DMSM Goals 42 Weeks Challenge. Together we shall take step by step until we tick all those items on the goal list! Canaan was not given to the Israelis in one day but little by little their enemies were delivered into their hands until finally they got to the promised land, in the same fashion we also shall build ourselves brick by brick until we reach the roof.

Today I would like us to talk about writing your vision down, as it is written on Habakkuk 2:2-3, “Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down your vision and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the vision awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.’”

It is important for you to note down your SMART Goals, once you have noted down your goals you can have something to work on rather than thinking you can memorize your goals because usually you will not remember most of them. Writing your goals helps to know what your goals are and motivates you to work on achieving them. An unwritten goal is a nonexistent goal, it basically does not exist, period!

Start with a five-year vision plan of how you see yourself in five years’ time and work backwards to break it down in small time segments. Your vision is the bigger picture and your annual goals will take you to your vision. You cannot achieve your vision without taking the necessary steps to achieve your goals, hence why they have to be noted down and a strategy has to be developed and also written down to back forth the vision. It is the vision first then strategy later, so do not worry if you do not know what to do to accomplish your vision because God will grant you the strategy as your vision gets clearer.

Once you have your vision written down, now make a vision board by printing out your vision and sticking it on your wall. Make sure you put pictures on it so that your vision board looks appealing to your eyes and also to evoke an emotion in you. Our minds remembers pictures more than it does for words. Once your vision board is up on your wall, you will be able to see it each and every day and that will encourage you to do something that will drive you one step closer to your vision.

I have my vision board up on my wall and each and every day I see it, I am reminded that I have greater work to do ahead of me. It really helps to keep the vision on my mind and it directs me into living my days purposefully. When I am feeling lazy and I happen to look on my wall, everything changes! It has been only 2 and a half months through the year and I have already achieved 3 of my goals for the year and still counting!

The first time you put your vision up on the wall, many people will laugh at it, but don’t worry yourself it won’t be funny anymore to them when you keep on ticking the list of your achievements. Do not be discouraged by the negative comments, like, “Oh do you think it is possible to achieve all these? This is too much you cannot manage!” Those are small minds talking and it is also a way to discourage you. Let the reason why you want those things motivate you to carry on. Remember this; small minds never see great opportunities.

Follow through this process together with me for the next coming weeks and be among those who want only the best this year and who will work so hard to make sure their dreams will come true.

Now that your vision is on the wall, we will talk more on the next stage next week.
